Frequently asked questions
The alarm didn't go off. What happened?
Wake Me Up relies on background location and geofencing. Please make sure:
- Location permission is set to Allow all the time (Android) or Always (iOS).
- Battery optimisation / power saving is disabled for Wake Me Up.
- Notifications and "Alarms & reminders" permission are enabled for the app.
- Your phone had a working GPS/network signal during the trip.
How do I set an alarm?
- Open the app and search for or tap your destination on the map.
- Set the trigger distance (how far before arrival you want to be woken).
- Tap Start and keep the app running in the background.
Does it work without internet?
The alarm itself works offline using GPS. An internet connection is only needed for searching places and loading the map.
Will it drain my battery?
The app uses OS-level geofencing which is designed to be battery efficient. Typical commutes use only a few percent of battery.
How do I delete my data?
Wake Me Up stores your saved places only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all local data. If you have contacted us and want any correspondence deleted, email admin@sugunafintaxtech.com.
Troubleshooting checklist
- Update to the latest version of the app from the store.
- Restart your phone after granting permissions.
- Re-add the destination if a saved place stops working.
